MIAMI – A plane caught fire after landing at Miami International Airport on Tuesday and passengers were living in Odyssey trying to escape from the plane amid frustration and chaos.
Red Air Flight 205 touched down at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, and within seconds, the rear of the plane was engulfed in flames and smoke.
The plane caught fire, but authorities said the fire was extinguished immediately.
Panic ensued on the runway as passengers exited the plane via emergency lanes. But those who observed everything that happened from the air terminal.
Authorities said the fire was extinguished without an accident.
Erica Benitez, a spokeswoman for the Miami Tate Fire Department, said: “Our response trucks have a foam system and they started working to put out the fire.”
Three of the 126 people on board were injured.

This Wednesday, representatives of the National Transportation Safety Board will begin their own investigation.
The flight departed from Santo Domingo to Miami just after 3 p.m. Red Air began operations in November last year.
