Members of the Board of Directors of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League in Puerto Rico decided to extend the suspension of the competition until December 21, 2021.

“Extensive additional infections have been reported for the five teams active in the tournament, so we have decided responsibly to extend our holiday,” said Juan A., chairman of LBPRC. Flores Calarsa explained. On Friday.

From the analysis of the epidemiologist hired by the Winter League, the tests conducted on Monday and Tuesday made it possible to reveal the purpose of the epidemic among the members of the competition. Friday’s tests are the result of possible interactions before positive cases are detected.

“Protecting the health of the people working on the winter campaign and our fans is our priority, so all teams will be tested again next Monday for a third science analysis. Progress in the panorama and resume action without further details,” Florus Calarsa added.

The next step will be to work on the new game schedule to complete the regular phase. It will be informed in detail in due course.
