St. Louis Cardinals 3rd baseman Nolan Arenado jar Genesis Cabrera Each received comment from Major League Baseball for their role in the clearinghouse fight in their 10-5 win over the New York Mets at Busch Stadium on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the league announced that Arenado had been suspended for two matches for “contributing to instigating the incident,” while Cabrera received a one-match suspension. Both were also fined an undisclosed amount.
Arenado resumes his suspension and started Thursday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Cabrera will serve his suspension Thursday.
