(CNN) – A Norwegian media official told CNN on Wednesday that several people had been killed and many more injured in an attack in Kansberg, Norway, 85 kilometers west of the capital Oslo.
A spokesman for the Kansberg Police Department told CNN on Wednesday that the suspect used a bow and arrow.
The press official could not say how many people were killed or injured, but said one suspect had been arrested and the situation was under control.
When asked if the situation was considered terrorist, the press official said, “It’s not clear yet, too soon to say.”

A spokesman said police first alerted the suspect at 6:15 p.m., local time. It further stated that the suspect had assaulted people at various places before being arrested.
When asked about the number of victims, a spokesman said: “We cannot confirm any number at this time.”
He added that “too soon to say” what the motive for the attack was. “That’s what the investigation will reveal,” the spokesman added.
