In recent days, hospital occupation and Govt-19 infections have been on the rise, along with restrictions on civilians.
President Louis Abinader has ordered new restrictions to stop the spread of the disease. Since this Wednesday, among other things, measures to consider a new curfew order have been in place.
These are the 8 peculiarities and activities of the Order:
1.- This is one of the short valid orders from Wednesday 2nd June to Wednesday 9th June (8 days).
2.- Presidential Order considers community days in the National District and a special vaccination day covering the provinces of Santo Domingo and San Cristobal from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th June.
In Santo Domingo, in the National District, and in 23 other provinces, curfew order hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Includes three extra hours of free movement daily.
3.- Interestingly, the provinces with the most flexible times include tourist sites such as Samane, Puerto Plata and La Altacresia.
The three and four hours mentioned are Monday through Friday from 10:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The grace of circulation in these cities lasts until midnight every day.
4.- This is the 25th curfew since the state of emergency began on March 19, 2020. This will make Saturdays and Sundays shorter days. Since the curfew order will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 am, activities such as going to the bank or going to the supermarket must be done in advance.
5.- After so much persuasion and effort to start mixed classes, they started on April 6th, after some trial and error, it was decided in May to return to the classrooms. A week later, it was ordered to implement the distance system exclusively in government schools. Schools can implement classes in a mixed manner.
6.- Another thing that has been put back with this order is the reduction in efficiency in restaurants and beverage outlets. It was reduced from 70% organized at the end of January this year to 50% of its total capacity, and more than 6 people per table where applicable.
7.- This also happened in gyms, which can get up to 50% of the total capacity of the customers in their facilities.
8.- Finally, in early January, after the intensification of activities after the Christmas holidays, churches will be able to celebrate their activities three times a week (not to exceed 50% of the total capacity of their facilities).
Authorities have until next Wednesday to vary these rules, which seek to reduce deaths and the epidemic curve in the country.
