Denver – Peters has officially announced the signing of veteran opener Jack Arietta with a minor league contract.
With 12 years of experience in the majors and the winner of the 2015 Old Circuit Psy Young Award, Areda fought all seasons and recorded a 6.88 ERA in 20 starts for the Cubs. However, Fraels hopes that the change in the environment will help Arietta regain its pre-existing dominance.
The San Diego club’s opening pool looked a bit weak after failing to add a hand in the trading deadline. But since then, the situation has reached another state of emergency. Rites You Darwish (hard back) and Chris Paddock (right oblique strain) have been added to the disabled list, so Patress is in a tough spot.
The Friars are hopeful that Badak and Darwish can reunite to make an impact. The San Diego Reds are 2.5 games ahead of the post-season fight for Perth.
In his 12-season career at the Big Top, Arietta has 3.93 ERA and 115 hits, although he has not recorded a better ERA than 4.00 since 2018.
