Legendary performer Elton John Say goodbye.

A career of over 50 years concluded with a farewell tour of the British pianist and singer He created some of the most memorable and enduring music in the history of pop rock, songs that were burned into the collective DNA of humanity.

John kicked off the final leg of his farewell tour of North America Friday night at Citizens Bank Park, home of baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies. And yes, he felt the love that night.

“America made me famous and I can’t thank this country enough,” he told the audience. “Thank you for the loyalty, love, and kindness you have shown me.”

Elton John had to cancel two more shows in New Zealand due to sleep

He has sold over 300 million records worldwide, played over 4,000 shows in 80 countries, and recorded one of the best-selling singles of all time, a reworking of 1997’s “Candle In The Wind” glorifying Princess Diana, which sold 33 million copies.

John has given 52 concerts in Philadelphia for the past 50 years.

During that PHILADELPHIA PERFORMANCEJohn played Philadelphia Freedom, which he dedicated to audiences in his hometown as “one of the greatest cities I’ve ever played in.” His 52nd concert was in Brotherly Love City.

John made this tour for the first time in 2020.

“I’ve been enjoying my time at home with family while the world makes its way through the COVID pandemic. But I really miss being on the road and performing for my beloved fans on my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour,” John said at the time.
