Stars from both sides of the Atlantic joined forces on Saturday night in London for a platinum party at the Palace, as part of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the British throne.

20 years ago, Queen guitarist Brian May celebrated their golden jubilee by playing the national anthem on his guitar from the rooftop of Buckingham Palace.

This time, Quinn and Adam Lambert kicked off the proceedings with “We Will Rock You” before showing off a catalog of stars on an evening that offered something for everyone.

Highlights of the concert included Alicia Keys performing her hit hits “Empire State of Mind” (with lyrics changing from New York to London) and “This Girl Is on Fire,” and digging a spin in the treasure chest to perform Notorious. and “Girls on a Movie”, aAndrea Bocelli brought the audience to their feet with his “Nesun Dorma” thriller.

Even with Diana Ross topping the bill, arguably the biggest star of the night was the light show, with some dazzling portraits of the Queen projected onto palace walls and other illuminations across the London night sky.
