florida georgia lineAbout 40,000 Country music fans from all over North America are gearing up for the annual Boots and Hearts Music Festival, held in the northern region of Barrie every August. It’s Canada’s largest camping and country music festival and this year fans from the 519 area code are in for the weekend trip.

Boots and Hearts takes place from August 9-12 at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, about a four-and-a-half-hour drive from the most southern shores of Windsor. Headliners for the festival include Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson, Thomas Rhett, Billy Currington, Dallas Smith and Brett Young.

“Boots and Hearts has grown into a must-attend festival since its launch in 2012,” said Lisa Zechmeister, Director of Booking and Development, Republic Live – the events organizing company. “Fans come to Burl’s Creek for more than great music – they come for the “Boots Life” that emerges when 40,000 people come together. It’s about a sense of belonging you feel while dancing and singing to your favourite songs with the friends you came with, and the ones you just made,”

“We’ve worked hard to put together a world class line-up and we are also extremely proud that over half of our talent is comprised of Canadian artists for fans to discover.  We like to be on the cutting edge of those up and coming artists; we know that today’s afternoon slot is tomorrow’s headliner, as we’ve seen with Chris Stapleton who played all four days as well as Sam Hunt (2014),” remarked Eva Dunford, co-founder of Boots and Hearts and Republic Live.

Spanning over four days with more than 40 artists, 60 hours of live entertainment, and many other attractions – including a spectacular LED Ferris Wheel and a 100-foot swing ride – Boots & Hearts is the largest country and camping music festival in Canada, providing fans with the greatest value for a festival experience of its kind.

“It’s extremely rare for a private festival producer to be the owner of a 600-acre parcel of land on which it plays – Republic Live is unique in that sense. It’s a pleasure to be a neighbour in this community and positively impact the local economy with the work that we do,” Dunford said.

The full Boots and Hearts 2018 line-up includes: Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson, Thomas Rhett, Billy Currington, Dallas Smith, Brett Young, Midland, LOCASH, James Barker Band, The Washboard Union, Lindsay Ell, Russell Dickerson, Blackjack Billy, Meghan Patrick, Walker Hayes, Madeline Merlo, Jason Blaine, Aaron Goodvin, River Town Saints, Kira Isabella, Bobby Wills, Maggie Rose, Runaway June, Chris Buck Band, Petric, Jimmie Allen, Sons of Daughters, Ryan Robinette, Devin Dawson, Natasha Zimbaro, Genevieve Fisher, Sacha, The Wheat Kings, Jade Eagleson, The Redhill Valleys, Cole Malone, Kelsi Mayne, and Emma Wright.
